METROPOLIS. just saw it. The idea of a film-concert evening is quite charming.
The projection accompanied with live piano suited the mood... after two hours
of futuristic visuals and classical music people could`t stop applauding.
I imagine it would also be great to make a live set .. something like this..

You know, music, like smell or sight can evoke memories to. That
is because we use the same part of the brain for storing emotional
memories and processing sound, smell and sight. Sometimes the
memories are not all clear, its more a felling of something familiar,
you know, like a future memory,.. does that make sense? Anyway..
I don`t know if that emotion might be real, dreamed or imagined.
Probably the latter. But that doesn`t make it less appreciated.

"This piece is based on a Nordic folktale which tells us about the origins of snow. It talks of an ancient whale who left the ocean to die on land. The legend suggests that it was the same whale who originally abandoned dry ground in favor of the salty water as its new habitat and has now returned to its cradle to rest in peace.
As air and wind withered away his flesh and bones, all that was left, eventually, amidst the landscape was a colossal heart. It wasn’t too long before it too gave away. When it burst open millions of white particles escaped and fell all over the ground. Thus was the legacy of the very first whale."

These photos were actually taken in late autumn 09, and then forgot
about it all. I just got the Praktica package and had to try it.
When developed, I got a kinda Ballast feeling,.. didn`t even take
efford to edit them properly.
